NLP and Hypnotherapy Training 101
Have you ever wondered how those few, select individuals in the world tend to be so much more successful at what they do than the many? By success, we mean a tool to measure what one has accomplished and mastered, whether it be mowing a lawn, riding a motorcycle, or being the CEO of a major corporation. Success in one particular subject may be of high favor to one, while another might prefer something completely different. This is where the studies of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy come into play.
NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is a study of how the structure of how we, as human beings, think, react and experience the world around us, as well as how we communicate what we know to others. NLP creates and uses models of many of the most successful minds to map out how the few think, act and communicate while comparing and contrasting it to the many. By doing so, methods and techniques have been developed to change the thinking process as well as the behaviors of those who practice.
For example, let s say that you have an underlying phobia of snakes and you have no idea where it came from. For as long as you can remember, the mere thought of a snake makes you cringe, or maybe even scream. Why, then, is it that there are those few individuals who have a pet python that they take out of its tank and play with on a daily basis? This is how the models are created, by getting deep into the subconscious of the select few and finding out how their mind works regarding snakes so that the many with the phobia can be helped.
NLP also relies heavily on presuppositions in which one who practices repeats to himself in order to help change their own, personal attitude and a bit of the world around them. Much like affirmations, they are simple, positive reinforcements that focus on the basics of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, such as communication and the thinking process. There is no such thing as failure-only feedback is one such presupposition.
Another belief of NLB is that all humans have within them the power to heal and avoid, to combat sickness and disease. The ability to tap into this portion of your subconscious can be a bit trickier, thus the reason for the use of Hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is so much more than putting yourself or someone else to sleep by dangling a pocket watch in front of them. In fact, modern day Hypnotherapy can be relayed through storytelling and/or symbolism to help you communicate with your unconscious mind, allowing different, powerful options to come and go freely. By tapping into your own imagination, you will be able to utilize your positive strengths to get past where you are, ending up where you want to be.
Both NLP and Hypnotherapy are yielding positive outcomes for many when they are used separately, and even greater results when practiced concurrently.

Golf s Secret Weapon is EFT
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple process of tapping the body in specific areas much like an acupuncturist would stick needles into you to relieve pain. The difference being EFT is using acupressure on several specific areas and combing that with some verbal statements to create the change.
Although the creator of EFT; Gary Craig, has been teaching people the process for over a decade it has only now begun to show up in the sports field.
I have played some six 18 hole rounds of golf since the EFT approach was started. It seems there has been a 33% reduction in my handicap due to the EFT Techniques. Says Steve Sayre His whole story and slew of others can be found on Gary Craig’s main site emofree.com
http://www.Birthdaygiftgolf.com also provides Gary’s free E-Book describing the whole EFT process as well as several descriptions of the actual words one may use while attempting EFT out on the Golf Course
Another major impediment to improving one’s golf score–and for some it is the biggest one–is their golf “comfort zone.” Ask any experienced golfer what they shoot and they will say something like, “I shoot in the mid-80’s.” That tends to define their comfort zone. It is a mental set. It is where they “belong.”
There are many different EFT approaches to golf. Some golfers will improve their score just by doing some generalized tapping before the game. Others will need to tap frequently throughout their round. Some may need to tap on some very specific areas such as…
“this feeling in my chest when I Tee off”
“this inability to focus on my putts”
“this anger I feel for blowing that last hole”
“this self doubt when I’m putting”
Interestingly, if you follow most golfers around you discover that they know how to shoot every shot perfectly. They have, for example, hit the perfect drive on countless occasions. They have also hit the perfect 5 iron, made the perfect 5 foot putt and so on it goes. They have the experience and ability to shoot 5 strokes better (low-70’s) than what they are doing. But they don’t. They tend to stay in the mid-80’s. and that’s the Comfort Zone
Comfort zones are very powerful things. We all have them. If not for golf, then for our income and our social status and our ability to dance and our educational level. For the professional and weekend golfer alike, you might wish to include some “comfort zone breaking” EFT routines. This is essential for many golfers if their improvement is going to last. They need to establish a new comfort zone. Try these….
“Even though breaking ____ seems out of reach….”
“Even though I fear having a lower handicap because I will have to maintain it…”
“Even though someone my age is not likely to shoot below______….”
